Zaha Hadid

She works on both large and small scales as well as different business sectors. She brings a cultural response to her work as well as making the building fit within the space provided. Given this Hadid also likes to make her work stand out helping with residential ideas and concepts. I like her work as it is interesting to see how she makes sketches which turn into massive buildings.

 

Santiago Calatrava

He is both an architect and an artist. He uses his power in engineering to bring to life, large paintings. He is a spanish architect however he also involves fine art within his work. I love how he combines the two subjects something that I never knew was possible. This work is very modern and structure is key in his style. I feel that his fine art style has contributed to his architecture and made him unique from other styles of work within the industry.

Norman Foster

He is a British architect who has won over 190 awards and has won over 50 national competitions. He has also been knighted in 1990. He has transformed city scape and turned many places into urban projects. He enjoys letting the building design mix and react with it's surroundings helping in blending in through human use. He has also helped design the Hong Kong international airport. I really love his work having being born in London as well as living here all my life. Many will have seen and know of his work even if they do not know who he is. Prior to researching him I loved his style even though I did not know it was even his work showing how popular and famous he is. 

Many know this shape worldwide.

Buckmister Fuller

Fuller with his dome structure

He is renowned for his perspective on the world's problems. He has created solutions that improves human lives through innovative design to create technology which helps the world. One of his most famous pieces would be his dome like structures. Fuller has created many works that helps the world and human race by surrounding a space with less harsh conditions and a stress free zone. I personally do not like his work because I am not interested in the meaning of his works he has created although I can see how he was perceived as a unique designer and help within the world problems.

Marc Newson

He has been described as the most influential designer of his generation. He has designed a range of objects fit for purpose of a wide variety. Many will have seen his work about and I love how practical he makes his designs. He lives and works in Tokyo, Paris and London but travels widely, something that makes him successful in his ideas and concepts. His work has been presented in many major museums collections including the design museum. He works very closely with the media creating documentaries.

The business has been co-founded by Gijs Bakker and Renny Ramakers. They have made careers of many designers and has mixed materials which interacts with the user. The design company has both good projects and bad where some have barely covered costs. Their designs have been in many galleries including the design museum. What I enjoyed about their work as a whole is how they adapt to their surroundings and time of production. They are constantly changing designers and style to adapt to the future of the industry.

Fernando and Huberto Campana

They work together taking inspiration from everyday and tried to use unusual combinations of found materials to solve this. They have used rubber hose, tissue paper, string and furry toys. They both did not want to be designers however they became to design furnitures in the 80's. Their materials they use are very important to their style and can turn ordinary items into useful pieces of furniture. I love their chair they have made out of cuddly toys, 2002. It is a great way to turn something not used as a seat into a useful part of someones life.
